We need YOU to vote for our videos
in a very serious competition !
This summer, we worked really hard to produce a series of videos for CGTN Français, to represent them in a competition on People's Daily, China, one of the biggest news outlet in China. We produced a series of portraits of people all around the globe, who have a profound cultural link to China. We filmed in Egypt, France, Ethiopia and the UK. We produced 5 videos in less than 4 weeks, in time for the competition first selection.
We will very soon release the series but so far, 2 of them have been chosen for the second part of the competition. These portraits feature Dr Ahmed Saïd, an Egyptian publisher who’s made it his mission to spread the Chinese culture in Arab countries, and Alix Zumba, founder of ZumbaFrance.com - Cours à Paris who organised a flashmob for the Qipao Festival of Hangzhou, China.
That’s where we need your help! The videos are now submitted to the audience vote. You can vote every 2 hours and cast up to 3 votes. If you like our work and our team, please please please, vote for us!
It’s not so simple, so here is how you can do it :
1. If you have an Iphone, go to your Apple Store and download the People’s Daily app. If you have an android phone, go to https://play.google.com/store/apps/details… and download the app.
2. Once it’s on your phone, please open it.
3. Then come back on this post and click on this link to see our first video: http://h5.peopleapp.com/hellochinavote/detail…
4. Click on Vote. This should open the link in your app. You can then click on vote again, to actually register your vote.
5. Then repeat steps 3 and 4 to vote for the second video, on this link: http://h5.peopleapp.com/hellochinavote/detail…
6. You can repeat this vote every 2 hours! Of course, we’re not asking you to live on your phone until September 5th, the end of the competition, but if you think about it 2 or 3 times, you will help us enormously!!!
